Santa Fe de Antioquia is a municipality located in northwestern Colombia. It is famous for its colonial buildings, cobblestone streets and tamarind sweets. The 19th-century Western Bridge, designed in wood and steel by The Santafereño engineer José María Villa (who also worked on the Brooklyn Bridge), is suspended over the Cauca River, northeast of the town. In the main square is the Metropolitan Cathedral, a whitewashed building with a large tower.
